Microwave Dot Cake
This easy Microwave Dot Cake is a single-serve version of the viral sprinkle-covered dessert, made with a soft vanilla cake base, frosting, and dot sprinkles.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Oil (Canola or other light vegetable oil)
- 3 tbsp Milk
- a splash of Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 cup All-purpose Flour
- 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
- a pinch of salt
- 1/2 tsp Nonpareil sprinkles (aka "dot" sprinkles)
Toppings
- 1/4 cup Frosting your favourite!
- 1/8 cup Nonparel sprinkles "dot"
Instructions
- Add milk, oil, and vanilla extract to a ramekin (12 oz or larger).
- Add sugar, flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix with a fork until combined.
- Add sprinkles and gently stir into the batter.
- Microwave on high for 1 1/2 minutes. Remove from the microwave and allow to cool completely (note: this is to ensure the frosting doesn't melt!)
- Dip in "dot" sprinkles and enjoy!
