Ingredients

  • 3 Pears medium-size, ripe, washed
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Walnuts finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup Rolled Oats
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp Butter melted
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400F (375F convection oven). Lightly oil an 8"x8" square baking pan.
  • Cut your pears into halves. Remove seeds and inner stem.
  • Place pears, cut side up, into baking pan.
  • In a small bowl, mix together crushed walnuts, rolled oats, cinnamon, honey, salt, and butter.
  • Place approx. 1-2 tbsp of walnut mixture into the centre of each pear half. Continue adding mixture to each pear half until everything has used up.
  • Bake pears for approx. 35 minutes, or until pears have softened and are slightly shrank. Let pears cool for at least 5 minutes, then transfer to your bowl/plate.
  • Drizzle with additional honey and serve with yogurt or ice cream.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

Sofia’s Tips:

  • How can I tell if my pears are ripe? You are looking for a firm pear body with a bit of "give" with gentle pressure
  • These Easy Baked Pears can be stored for up to 4 days in an air-tight container in the refrigerator
  • Can I make these baked pears ahead of time? Yes! You can bake them ahead and store them in the fridge. Just reheat them gently in the oven or microwave before serving.
