Ingredients

  • 1 can (300 ml) Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 cups (500g) Light Brown Sugar well packed
  • 1 cup Salted Butter cold, cut into cubes
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 3 Caramel/Chocolate candy bars
  • 1 cup (142g) Milk Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  • Line an 8"x8" baking pan or similar sized baking dish with parchment paper.
  • Roughly chop caramel/chocolate candy bar, set aside.
  • In a large, microwave safe bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar, butter, and vanilla. Roughly chop caramel/chocolate candy bar, set aside.
  • Microwave butter/condensed milk/brown sugar on high for a total of 10 min, stopping every 2 minutes, to stir. (Note: Bowl will be hot to the touch - be sure to use oven mitts/towel to remove bowl from microwave for stirring)
  • After 10 min, remove bowl from the microwave one last time and place on heat safe surface. Using an a hand-held electric mixer, beat butter/condensed milk/brown sugar for 5 min on medium-high speed.
  • Once finished beating, spread 1/2 of fudge mixture onto surface of lined baking pan. Top with roughly chopped caramel/chocolate candy bar pieces. Finish by topping with remaining 1/2 of fudge mixture. Spread flat. Allow to cool slightly.
  • Meanwhile, melt the milk chocolate. Top fudge with a thin layer of melted milk chocolate. Sprinkle flaked sea salt on top of melted chocolate surface.
  • Allow fudge to set for 3+ hours (overnight if you have the time) in a cool environment or refrigerator.
  • Once cooled, cut into small squares and enjoy!
