Instructions
Prior to starting: Thaw puff pastry as per package directions (note: this usually means thawing dough overnight in the refrigerator or for 2 hours at room temperature).
Quick Cinnamon Buns
Preheat oven to 400F (375F convection oven). Generously butter sides of a small cake pan (such as a 6" round pan) and line bottom with a parchment paper round. Set aside.
In a small bowl, mix together ground cinnamon and sugar.
Lightly flour your clean work surface. Unfold your puff pastry sheet. Spread softened butter over one surface of your puff pastry. Generously sprinkle cinnamon sugar over butter.
Tightly roll pastry from longest end (note: if your sheet is square, start from any of the 4 sides).
Using a sharp knife, cut pastry into 6 equal pieces using gentle sawing motions.
Bake at 400F for ~25 minutes or until puffed and golden. Remove from oven.
Optional: Homemade Cream Cheese Frosting
In a small bowl, whisk together softened cream cheese, butter, and icing sugar. Add vanilla extract and beat once more.
Assembly
While your cinnamon buns are cooling, spread your store bought or homemade cream cheese frosting over each warm cinnamon bun.
Let cool in pan and enjoy!

Notes
Sofia’s Tips:
Be sure to lightly flour your work surface and pastry to reduce sticking
Puff pastry rises best when cold just before baking! If its getting warm prior to baking, simply return it to the fridge for 10-15 minutes
These cinnamon rolls can last for up to 3 days in the refrigerator, stored in an air-tight container
